Midway Church is a community of people who believe in Jesus and deeply love God and people.

Welcome to Midway Church! We’d love to have you visit us for Worship either  in-person or online on Sundays at 9:00AM or 11:00AM.

Interested in learning more about us? Poke around our website, and let us know if you have any questions.

We’re excited to meet you!

Welcome to Midway Church! Established in 1836, this church has brought the word of God to Auburn, GA and the surrounding areas of Winder, Dacula, Bethlehem, and more for almost 200 years. But don’t let our age fool you – we’re a multi-generational community of imperfect people who are passionately committed to helping others connect with the transforming power of Jesus.  If you are looking for a church community that is active, engaged, and focused on serving their neighbor, then Midway Church just might be the place for you. Stop by on Sundays or visit us on-line to say hello!

Hi! I’m Pastor Alissa Rothschild.

My husband, Joe, and I moved to Georgia in 2004 from San Diego, CA where were both raised and where our parents still live. Joe and I did not grow up in the faith – and, it wasn’t until we moved to Georgia that we were baptized and Jesus took root in our lives and changed everything.

I know first hand what it is like to live life without God and I know how hopeless, empty, and broken life can seem. I know how lonely life can be without the beauty of community. And, I also know that, with Jesus, all of these things can change – radically.

My greatest desire in life is to help people understand that there is more to life than this – both for non-Believers and Believers alike.

The Facts

Joe and I have been married for 19 years and have three kiddos. Brennan is 16 and plays competitive paintball (yup, that’s a thing!) and really likes cars – fast cars. Keaton is 14 and is into singing and acting (and playing video games). Meili (pronounced May-Lee) is 10 and she loves horses and is quite the artist (especially if what she is drawing is a dragon or an imaginary creature).

Things I Like

I really enjoy getting lost in a good book, cooking for my family & friends, and pottery – which is my newest hobby (in other words, I pretty terrible at it, but I like it a lot).

What is the mission of Midway Church?

We are in a time of discernment at Midway Church. Pastor Alissa joined us in July of 2021 and we immediately began the process of seeking out God’s will for us as a community in this next season of ministry.

We are holding three Vision Meetings that are open to the church community.(September 12th, October 10th, and November 14th – all at 2PM in the Fellowship Hall).

During these meetings, we will discuss our values and our context and then the strengths, weakness, and opportunities within our church and the wider community. Given these discussions, we will ask God to show us what our Vision and Mission should be going forward.

At the end of the process we will have a Vision Statement that will guide our decisions and work going forward.

But, we know this, it will be rooted in our deep love of Jesus and our understanding that God has a unique plan for Midway Church and her people.
