Throughout Jesus’ teaching ministry, he chose to teach important lessons through the use of parables. In each parable, the listener would have encountered themes, topics, and ideas that were very familiar to their every day life. But, at the same time, parables were presented in such a way that the listener would be left to wonder. And, in this wondering is where transformation happened.
God wants to do a work of transformation in each of us. Let us each open up our hearts and minds as we come together for worship this summer . . . eagerly expecting God to do a work of transformation in us as we sit under the teaching of Jesus.
