I'm New

At Midway Church, everyone is a neighbor - expect to be welcomed like a long-lost friend, we hug, we love, and we pray together expectantly. Led Pastor Alissa Rothschild, we worship together on Sundays at 10:00AM with hymns, worship music, sermons, and prayer. We celebrate family worship here at Midway Church. Children begin worship with their families - then have their own teaching in the Fellowship Hall during the sermon.

Hi! I am Jess Rogers! I grew up right down the road from here in Loganville and currently live in the best city ever: Athens, Georgia. Being raised in church, I always had the “book knowledge” of who God was, but as I grew older, I really learned how sweet and special a relationship with Jesus can be. It is a true honor to get to help raise up the new generation in a way that knows how great it is to love God, love others, and live a life rooted in community.

As soon as I graduated high school I found a job that allowed me to work with kids. I taught Pre-K for several years, then decided to head to the public school system and got a job as a Kindergarten Paraprofessional where I worked for 8 years. Eventually, I decided to change directions and started my own baking business which has been super fun and exciting! I have done many, many jobs over the years, but nothing brings me as much joy as getting to love on kiddos and teens as they grow in their faith. I am so thankful for my role here at Midway.

I met my husband, Kyle, 5 years ago and we just recently got married. When I’m not baking cheesecakes or hanging out at Midway, you can find us cheering on our Braves or our Dawgs, finding a river to hike to, or heading to a concert with our friends. I love flowers, Halloween and Christmas and, honestly, there’s a good chance I’ll be listening to Christmas Tree Farm by TSwift on any given day, all year long.
